We built an energy efficient and affordable demonstration house at the University of Nottingham and we are working with BRE and partners to transform a disused Victorian Terrace into energy efficient spaces fit for 21st century living. Our main UK company, BASF plc, is based at Cheadle in Cheshire. We manufacture at sites in Alfreton, Bradford, Cork, Grimsby, Paisley, Redditch, Swinton and Widnes
Cognis acquisition
Following BASF's acquisition of Cognis, the former Cognis site in Cork is operated by BASF Ireland Limited. Sales of Care Chemical products are handled by BASF UK Limited. The former Cognis site in Hythe was sold to Geo Speciality Chemicals.
